Shop Technician, Made Cascade LLC
Description:
Primary fabricator and builder for company projects and facilities. Implement shop equipment and tools to assemble and/or complete projects, in coordination with other Made Cascade personnel. Play a central role in ongoing maintenance and serviceability of shop facilities and equipment. Projects vary in size and scope, and multiple projects will be worked on simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and manufacture production goods including New Union furniture and other original concepts and prototypes as designed by Made Cascade; methods may include wood and metal work, machine operation, electronics assembly, etc.
- Assemble and manufacture goods as required by customer projects, which may be located at a project site as opposed to the Made Cascade shop
- Ensure shop workspace and tools are generally kept clean and ready to be used
*Note: while shop organization and cleanliness is a stated task for this position, it is also an inherent responsibility of all personnel to maintain cleanliness, and the Shop Lead is not expected to clean up others’ messes or clean up after them.
- Play a primary role in workspace improvement projects, including electrical or plumbing revisions, basic construction, etc.
- Receive additional duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements:
- Working experience in a shop environment and/or in a construction setting
- Familiarity and experience in metal fabrication
- Familiarity and experience in woodworking
- Confident use of hand and power tools and shop equipment, as well as eagerness and ability to learn new systems and equipment as required
- Basic understanding of electronics and wiring
Compensation:
Compensation for this position is negotiated between Made Cascade and the prospective party, and is determined prior to the completion of the hiring process.
